Water Rates & Policies

Water meters are read between the 14th and the 16th of every month.  If for some reason we are unable to read the meters they will be estimated based on the prior months usage.  If this should occur a message will be placed on the bill informing the consumers. 

Listed below, you will find the current water rates and policies for the City of Gas. If you do not find the information you need, please contact our office and we will provide it for you. 

Should you experience a problem with your water, please call the phone numbers provided. We will do everything possible to locate the problem with your water service.

Water Rates:

Household, dwelling or business within the city limits:

•  a minimum charge of $15.00 which includes 1 unit of water. 
• $5.61 for each additional unit.

Household, dwelling or business rate outside the city limits:

• a minimum charge of $25.00 which includes 1 unit of water.
• $6.29 for each additional unit.

Water District

• a minimum charge of $55.00 which includes 1 unit of water.
• $6.29 for each additional unit.  

*Units are 100 cubic feet (100 cubic feet equals 748 gallons)
